Dr. Tony Cheng was invited as a speaker for the seminar titled “the
Latest Development in Capital Markets in China and Hong Kong” organized
by HKICPA on 19 August 2009. Attended by more than 80 members and
non-members from HKICPA, the seminar featured an overview of development
of stocks markets in Hong Kong and China. It also covered the practice
of real estate valuations related to IPO market and discussed the
regulatory requirements of real estate valuations in China. Dr. Cheng
shared insights into the updates of financial and accounting reporting
standards in both regions and their impact on professional valuers.
